COMMUNITY ORGANIZING
Youth and Young Adults will acquire community building and organizing skills through programmatic education and volunteering.
CULINARY & MUSIC ARTS
By combining musical and culinary heritage with history we provide a more comprehensive backdrop in which to tell a collective story. This program intends to reinforce English, History, and creative writing skills in students as well as enhance soft skills and foster creativity.
Neighborhood Conversations and Self-Sufficiency Workshops
During the summer months, UNITEYCDC is especially devoted to learning about emergent community needs through various and ongoing efforts to engage Memphis residents in their houses of faith, community organizations, faith based meetings, and a wide array of other community groups and programs. For the past year, UNITEYCDC has noticed a persistent need for information about emotional health and wellness mental services in the Memphis area and a strong presence of stigma around these important health issues
